New to Venus Envy are our exclusive Venus Envy Desktop Wallpapers. Every month, a new wallpaper will be provided to anyone making a donation of $1 or more to Venus Envy via PayPal. Every wallpaper is hand-drawn and computer-colored by Erin, usually with a monthly theme, and features characters from the comic series.

Also new to Venus Envy is our Monthly Art Raffle. Every $5 you donate in a month buys one virtual ticket. At the end of the month, all the tickets go into a sophisticated input device (a hat, to use the techie term) and one winner is randomly drawn. He or she will receive the original, physical drawing of that month's wallpaper FREE (so be sure you include your mailing address with donations).

Why do we have to Donate a Buck? That seems kinda greedy!
It is a little greedy, yes, but PayPal charges 50 cents per transaction; its just part of using their service. If I get people sending me 4 cent donations just to get the wallpaper, PayPal keeps all that for themselves and I starve to death inside a cardboard box behind Wal-Mart. And thus ends the comic.

I made a donation three weeks ago, but my wallpaper still hasn't arrived in the mail!
The wallpaper isn't a physical wallpaper, it's a digital file for your computer (dip). It will be e-mailed to you automatically

Money's tight this month; I only have a quarter
Not a problem. Just find three other friends who can only spare a quarter. Combine your funds into a single one-dollar donation and copy the wallpaper amongst yourselves (and let the RIAA be damned).

So, if I win the raffle, I win a free print?
No, you don't win a print, you win the original drawing, singed and dated by Erin herself. The original is a black-and-white ink line drawing, but it's still an original piece of work, singed by your favorite artist/writer.

Why a Raffle? Couldn't you make a lot more money by auctioning off the original each month on E-bay?
I probably could, but I don't necessarily like those E-bay auctions very much. They always seem to go to the obsessive-compulsive person with the most free cash. A raffle means that anybody who can save up an extra $5 in a month has a shot at winning and getting something cool.

I really like this month's Wallpaper. Can I get it as a print?
Time will tell. If the wallpapers prove to be popular, we may begin selling prints of them (or perhaps past monthly wallpapers as digital files) in the VE store. Keep you eyes peeled.

Can I win anything else?
Not in this promotion directly, but we are likely to hold extra Venus Envy-related raffles in the future for original artwork, commissions by Erin, cool memorabilia, and possibly even cameo appearances in the strip!
